The Bar Jacobsen is located on the 1st. floor of the renovated Old Carlsberg warehouse dating back to 1878, and it is an integrated part of the Jacobsen Brewhouse. During your visit you will be able to enjoy the view of our 3 copper vats, and sometimes smell the enticing and unmistakable aroma of hobs and barley from the brewery. While in the bar area you will also be able to watch the filling, crowning and packing of the Jacobsen bottling line which is located right beneath the bar.
The 18 metre long, copper plated bar dominates the classic interior of the room, and our professional and helpful bartenders are waiting to guide you in your choice of beer. If you wish to find further inspiration for your chioce of beer, we suggest you visit the aroma room section in the bar area.

The bar can be very busy during afternoons in the high season, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Therefore, we kindly ask you for your patience if you may have to queue, or if possible to avoid these periods for an optimum visit at the bar.
Outside our peak periods, it is possible to stay longer at the bar and buy extra beers if you would like to sample more from our large selection of beers.
In Bar Jacobsen and in the outdoor café (in the summer), we serve lunch dishes, all prepared with beer as a component. With focus on the purity and the freshness of the Nordic crops we serve light, delicious, and modern food, which is simple to prepare and easy to enjoy.
We would very much like to hear from you if you have any suggestions as to how we can improve your next visit to the Jecaobsen Bar and the visitors center. This can be done by filling out a form at the bar, or sending us an email at: visitors@carlsberg.dk
Outside the Visitors Centre's regular opening hours, it is possible to attend various different events such as monthly beer tastings and lectures on beer brewing. Read more: Calender.
